Fab Finds June: Volume VI
Happy Summer friends! I didn’t do much shopping away from home this month but thanks to Trunk Club I was still able to pick up some amazing pieces! I’m not sure if this is a good or bad thing, I’ll let you decide.
Steve Madden Carrson Heel:
My Trunk Club stylist initially sent me these in a pale blue and although they were adorable I didn’t think I would wear them enough to justify the price, in that color. I requested this more versatile nude/sand option and she sent them my way as soon as they were in stock and they were definitely keepers! You can see me wearing them here.
Halogen ‘Owen’ Pointy-Toe Ghillie Flat:
I finally made the leap for a pair of lace-up flats, and it’s thanks to my Trunk Club stylist. These are so cute and will take me through fall too. I thought I was leaning towards a blush pair, but my stylist sent me this white pair and I realized that was a better choice, as they’ll go great with all of my blush-toned tops. See me wear them here and here.
Madewell ‘Balcony’ Eyelet Off the Shoulder Top:
Isn’t this top adorable? I knew as soon as I saw my Trunk Club stylist was sending it that it was going to be a winner. It’s so easy and comfortable. Perfect for summer! I linked a similar top that is half the price. See me wear it here, here, and here.
Halogen Sleeveless Shift Dress:
exact (available in other patterns)
Another piece sent by my Trunk Club stylist, isn’t is perfect for summer? I think it works for work and events. It fits so comfortably, which is really what sold me. The material is SO light and and breathable. And, it doesn’t cling! It’s also super tough to wrinkle, which is a win win win. There’s a lime green border around the flowers in the pattern, which you can’t see in the photo but I love. I’ve just worn this once and got so many comments on the beautiful pattern. You can see me wearing it here.
Vince Rolled High Neck Pullover:
Thanks to some credit from Trunk Club referrals, I was able to invest in this gorgeous cashmere sweater! It’s so so soft and it fits great. This is one of those “forever” pieces. You know, as long as I don’t destroy it. See it on me here.
Old Navy Boyfriend Pocket Tee:
I nabbed this for $12 at Old Navy and it’s an instant favorite. Comfy, casual. I love to just tuck the front of this top into a pair of distressed denim, slip on my keds, and go on my way. Easiest outfit ever and it looks super cute. See me wearing it here.
Old Navy Printed Chiffon Cover-Up:
This was also on sale at Old Navy! I didn’t really need another cover-up but I was drawn to it, and after trying it on I knew it was really comfortable. I went back and forth between the print and the black style but ultimately grabbed this pretty print.
The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins:
This is a thriller, a page-turner until the end. The best part though, for me, is that the main character is severely flawed. And not in the typical adorable ways that I see so often in my fiction novels. She’s almost intolerable, yet you want to see her through to the end, hopeful that she isn’t her own worst enemy. The story intertwines several lives and you don’t really find out how they relate until the very end. I enjoyed it. It’ll be released as a motion picture this fall so read now, watch later.
