I meant to keep April low-key in terms of shopping because March had been such a big month…but I’m not sure that I did. Oops. In my defense it was my birthday month 😉 I know I spent much less because so many of these pieces were either on sale or I had credits piling up and I took advantage! The theme is clearly all about prepping for summer and a trip to Florida, let’s get started!
Lace off the Shoulder from Nordstrom via Trunk Club:
This gorgeous top was a bit of a splurge but I am totally smitten. So far, it’s my favorite Trunk Club purchase, it’s just gorgeous. I can’t wait to wear it all summer.
TopShop Scalloped Skirt from Nordstrop via Trunk Club:
This was another Trunk Club find. Originally, I wanted a scalloped skirt I could wear to work, and this is a bit too short for that, but I will wear this on vacation. It’s cute and unique.
Madewell White Skinny Jeans from Nordstrom via Trunk Club:
You guys! I finally found my perfect pair of white skinny jeans! These were sent to me from my Trunk Club stylist as well, in just a small little box with only a few items. My stylist had known I’d love these, and she was right. The best part was that I had referral credits and nearly got these for free! Amazing! You can see me wearing them here.
Alice Blue Kortnie Off the Shoulder Top from Stitch Fix:
Another cute off-the-shoulder find came in my Stitch Fix this month. I just loved this top, so pretty. It’s another great option for summer. With referral credits it was free!
Daniel Rainn Noberta Halter Neck Top from Stitch Fix:
This was my favorite Stitch Fix find! How adorable is this top? I will wear this all summer long and with referral credits, it was nearly free!
Floral Cami from Forever 21:
How gorgeous is this cami? It’s just as beautiful in real life, I swear. This is my favorite purchase of the month for two reasons: its gorgeous and it was only $6. Yep, you read that right. It’s sold out but also available in black and I’ve linked similar options for you.
Rose Print Flared Cami from Forever21:
Another gorgeous floral cami. This one was a bit disappointing, as it’s shorter in person than it appears on the model. It’s also very low cut both in the front and along the sides so it’s really only ok (for me) to wear at the beach or at home with a bathing suit since it doesn’t really accommodate a bra and shows some midriff. It was only $10 so I’ll keep it. It’s also available in a beautiful white and pink.
Off the Shoulder Top from Forever 21:
Such a pretty and classic little off the shoulder! It’s available in white and also in blue, I wish I had all 3! This one was only $15 so it was another steal!
Floral Maxi from Target:
Target strikes again! I was shopping around for a few beachy things and came across this maxi. It’s so pretty and most importantly, comfy! It’s super flattering and easy peasy, perfect for summer. It’s all sold out but I linked some gorgeous similar options that I’m dying over!
Flare Jeans from Target:
So, I think I’m ready to jump back into this flare trend. I picked these up at Target and they fit me really well. They are called the “flip flop” flare but since I’m petite, they are long on me and can be worn with heels.
Flounce Bikini from Target:
Nabbed this pretty bikini for the beach but I’ll wear it all summer. Love the print.
Crochet Halter Bikini from Target:
This top is so pretty and sexy! I have tons of bottoms I can pair it with.
Hurricane Sandals from Target:
Thong Sandals from Target:
I wanted a sandal with an ankle strap, they are just easier to wear. I liked that these are super simple but also make a bit of a statement.
Oversized Floppy Hat:
Will be wearing this ALL summer! Part of me feels like floppy straw hats are so pretentious…. and they are but honestly, I just want to protect my face. And this will do the trick!
Straw Tote from Target:
This is the cutest thing I bought all month! I’ll be using it as my beach bag. It’s got a ton of room inside and the pom/tassel is removable so it can be attached to my other bags too! Very affordable.
Faux Leather Crossbody from Forever21:
I’ve been eying this little bag up since my tassels post and finally made the purchase. I’m not sure why it took me so long, it’s only $22. It’s perfect for little outings and vacation because it’s much smaller than my regular purse.
Vaseline Lip Therapy Rosy Lips:
I grabbed a tin of this lip balm at target and I’m so glad I did! It’s worked wonders on my chapped lips but it also has a pretty rose tint that I like. It has a subtle floral scent that I’m not crazy about but it’s really only noticeable when applying.
Nivea Soft Moisturizing Creme
This stuff is heavenly! It’s very light but feels great on, no sticky tacky residue. It has a light scent that I’m not fond of but I like the formula enough to get over it. I use this on my neck, chest, and arms.
That’s it for this month, what do you think?
