Spring 2016 Wardrobe Essentials
I am so happy to be writing this post because it means my favorite time of year is approaching! There are a ton of things I’m excited for this season 🙂 Basically everything I love happens in spring and summer but for now we’ll stick with just style and talk about the pieces we need for the upcoming months.
Some words you’ll be seeing over and over in this post: pastel, tassels, chambray, and floral! You probably could have guessed that but I’ll show you how it’s going to be done this season, let’s get started:
From tops to purses and jewelry, these will be everywhere:
If I haven’t been able to convince you in any previous style posts, now is the time you’ll definitely be wishing you had a striped top. It will go with jean jackets, utility vests, cardigans, shorts, and skirts. It is basically the every season top.
Off the Shoulder Top:
I’m not sure if there’s anything sexier than an off-the-shoulder top and I’m loving that these are coming back! I especially love them with a little boho flair.
If ever there were a spring staple it’s a chambray shirt. I’m going to be pairing mine with pastel jeggings and skirts this spring.
Another closet staple and perfect for spring. Jean jackets are perfect for pairing with dresses, shorts, and colored jeggings.
Another versatile spring necessity! Comfortable and classic. I have so much fun styling mine.
You need one of these in your closet. Who said denim isn’t work appropriate? I’ll be wearing mine to the office all the time.
The epitome of feminine. And the base for spring inspiration – add a tassel necklace and a jean jacket and you will emanate spring.
A pretty hemline for spring.
Floral Print Pants:
A new way to wear floral! Wear it with a chambray or off-the-shoulder top.
Pastel Skinny Jeans:
Brighten up your wardrobe from the bottom this season! I love my blush skinny jeans and am on the hunt for other pastel shades to add to my wardrobe.
Destroyed Ankle/Cropped Skinnies:
Every season needs its own comfy denim. This spring look for a lightly distressed pair of ankle length or cropped skinny jeans.
Floral Print Shoes:
Add a little flair to a simple outfit with a pretty pair of floral printed pumps or flats.
I’m loving these and can’t wait to wear them with work dresses and pastel skinnies!
Mules are comfy and gorgeous and I love them when also combined with a wedge – the perfect amount of coverage for spring.
Half gladiator, half ballet flat. These are different and trendy but a comfy style that will look great with everything this spring.
What are your favorites? What other spring additions will you be adding to your closet?
Thanks for stopping by!
