DIY Crispy Apple Dog Treats
Here’s another easy, inexpensive, and delicious dog treat idea for you! This one is prepared using the same method as the sweet potato treats I showed you a few weeks ago.
For the record, I also tried these treats and they are delicious! The method of dehydrating brings out the natural sugars of the apples. I gave Aylah a sample before I took photos for you and she spent the entire “shoot” drooling and begging for more.
Obviously this was an accidental picture. But, do you see that face? Now start acting like a respectable dog owner, go spend the measly $2 for some apples, and make these damn treats.
Crispy Apple Dog Treats
– Apples – cored and seeded
-Cinnamon, if desired
1. Preheat oven to 235 degrees. Slice apples thin: about 1/4″ thick. Line on a baking sheet and bake for 1 hour.
2. Remove baking sheet from the oven and carefully flip each slice over. Sprinkle a tiny bit of cinnamon if desired. Place back in the oven for 1 hour.
Most pieces will be firm and crispy at this point. Thicker slices may need another 20-30 minutes.
Allow to cool and store in an air-tight container. I hope your furbaby loves these as much as mine does!
