So it’s the week before Christmas and I’m dressing for comfort (as usual 😉 ). It seems everywhere I go there’s a tray of delicious holiday food sitting out begging me to devour.
I’m feeling a little full these days…… and that’s ok, an extra pound or 5 won’t kill me and it gives me an opportunity to put all of my favorite bulky clothes into rotation. Here’s a few examples of my comfort style this last week.
I just read an article that said for men, the “lumbersexual” is the current trendy look. But why not for women too, right? Minus the thick beard of course…
Black down vest: Gap 2014
Flannel shirt: Target 2014
Gray Scarf: Target 2014
Skinny Jeans: Gap 2014
Black Riding boots: Forever 21 2014
This outfit did double duty this week. I wore it to work and for a holiday party. The shirt is brilliant because it’s festive with a touch of sparkle and the back is longer so it’s also comfy and can be worn with leggings without any awkward stares 😉
I am excited about this necklace, I want to wear it everywhere! It’s like a little black disco ball – super cute for the holidays and it screams New Years Eve to me. I’ll see what I can come up with 🙂
Burgundy sweater: Kohl’s 2012
Black Leggings: TJ Maxx 2014
Cognac Wedge Boots: Rack Room Shoes 2012
Necklace: Old Navy 2014
This is similar to a work look I tried a few weeks ago. I love these hunter green skinnies and they are so comfy. This outfit was nice because everything stayed put- there was no need for constant readjustment (that’s the worst!) so I thought this was worth being posted.
Sheer Ivory Button-up: Old Navy 2013
Burgundy lace scarf: Charlotte Russe 2013* I think
Cognac Belt: Target 2014
Hunter Green Skinny Jeans: Charlotte Russe 2014
Riding Boots: Guess Outlet 2014
Sticking with the burgundy theme, I found this look to be super comfy but the booties and necklace dressed it up and made it feel casually dressy.
Burgundy sweater: American Eagle 2014
Skinny Jeans: American Eagle 2013
Cognac Booties: Old Navy 2014
Necklace: Charlotte Russe 2014
Did I mention COMFORT was the theme this week (ok, lets get real, comfort is the theme every week). I wore this comfy getup to run errands. I knew the stores would be packed because it’s the week before Christmas and I anticipated long waits. It was also freezing rain…..I wanted a simple, warm, no fuss outfit. Trendy was not on my mind. I still think it’s a cute look.
Fleece pullover: Old Navy 2014
Gray Tank: Old Navy 2012
Black Down Vest: Gap 2014
Yoga Pants: Victoria’s Secret 2013
Gray Boots: Urbanog.com 2013
That’s it for this week! What do you guys think?
As always, thanks for stopping by and Merry Christmas!
